
David recently wrapped on Murder is Easy, a 2 part Agatha Christie drama for Mammoth Screen/BBC due on television over Christmas. Previous work for Mammoth includes the 4 part mini series Tom Jones, an 18th century period drama based on the Henry Fielding novel which aired on ITV and PBS in 2023.
Due for released this Autumn/Winter is the Diane Keaton feature film Arthur’s Whisky, as well as Season 2 of The Lazarus Project for Urban Myth/Sky.
2022 saw the release of Sky’s Holiday feature film This is Christmas with Director Chris Foggin, as well as Paul Feig’s fantasy feature The School For Good and Evil on which he DP’d the Action Unit for Netflix.
Other work includes the feature films Show Dogs, for director Raja Gosnell starring Will Arnett, as well as thie independent Lad: A Yorkshire Story which picked up over 20 international awards including 2 for Best Cinematography.
Currently on Netflix is Outside The Wire, director Mikael Håfström’s sci-fi/action film starring Anthony Mackie, on which David worked as 2nd Unit Director, having previously worked for 42MP/Netflix as 2nd Unit DP on their Nicholas Hoult & Henry Cavill war drama Sand Castle.
Extensive VFX experience, has seen David acting as additional and VFX DOP on films including the upcoming Wonka, Paddington 2, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Dark Crystal, Mowgli, Cursed and Watchmen. For Universal he shot Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, The Hogwarts Express as well as Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure - all large scale, green screen and motion control films starring Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane, Helena Bonham Carter and Brendan Gleeson.
As a camera assistant for over 10 years David worked alongside the world's leading cinematographers on films including Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Bourne Ultimatum, V for Vendetta, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and the Harry Potter series.
