David shot the feature film Show Dogs, starring Will Arnett with director Raja Gosnell in the UK and the USA.

For his work on Lad: A Yorkshire Story David won 2 awards for Best Cinematography, the film itself picking over 20 international awards. Tales From The Lodge, for director Abigail Blackmore, premiered at SXSW and was released in November 2019 winning Abigail the Screen International Rising Star Award at FrightFest. Other feature work includes the thriller The Last Seven.

Currently on Netflix is Outside The Wire, director Mikael Håfström’ sci-fi/action film starring Anthony Mackie, on which David worked as 2nd Unit Director. This was his 2nd time shooting for 42MP/Netflix having previously DP’d 2nd Unit on their Nicholas Hoult, Henry Cavill war drama Sand Castle.

For Neal Street Productions he worked on the hit BBC series Call The Midwife. He also shot VFX unit for the Netflix series Dark Crystal for director Louis Leterrier.

Further VFX work includes units on films including Mowlgi, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Paddington 2, Cursed and Watchmen. For Universal he shot Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts and The Hogwarts Express; both large scale, green screen and motion control films starring Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter and Brendan Gleeson. More recently he DP'd Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure with Robbie Coltrane, also for Universal.

A member of the Guild of British Camera Technicians, David worked as a camera assistant for over 10 years, alongside the world's leading cinematographers on films including Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Bourne Ultimatum, V for Vendetta, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and the Harry Potter series.
