David recently completed work as 2nd Unit Director/DP on the feature film My Fault: London for Amazon/42MP

​

Murder is Easy, a 2 part Agatha Christie drama for Mammoth Screen aired on the BBC over Christmas 2023, shortly followed by Arthur’s Whisky, a Diane Keaton feature film for Sky Cinema in the New Year.

 

Also for Sky, David photographed block 2 on the acclaimed second series of The Lazarus Project (released in Autumn 2023), as well as their 2022 Holiday feature film This Is Christmas with Director Chris Foggin.

2022 also saw the release of Tom Jones, a 4 part period drama again for Mammoth Screen showing on ITV and Masterpiece, and Paul Feig’s fantasy adventure feature The School for Good and Evil on which he DP’d the 2nd Unit.

​

Other work includes the feature films Show Dogs starring Will Arnett, as well as the independent Lad: A Yorkshire Story which picked up over 20 international awards including 2 for Best Cinematography.

​

Extensive VFX experience, has seen David acting as additional and VFX DOP  on films including the Wonka, Paddington 2, Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Dark Crystal, and Mowgli. For Universal he shot Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, The Hogwarts Express as well as Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure - all large scale, green screen and motion control films starring Rupert Grint, Ralph Fiennes, Robbie Coltrane, Helena Bonham Carter and Brendan Gleeson.

As a camera assistant for over 10 years David worked alongside the world's leading cinematographers on films including Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, The Bourne Ultimatum, V for Vendetta, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and the Harry Potter series.
